Studio Secret: How to wash your 130g silk (without panicking)?
Silk has a reputation as a diva. We imagine it as fragile, demanding, only to be handled by the local dry cleaner. At Sunday Sleep Club, we believe that sleepwear is an architecture made to be lived in, washed, and loved daily.
Our 130g silk satin is an exceptional material, woven in France in prestigious Haute Couture mills. It is robust, thermoregulating, and incredibly soft. To keep its "Place Vendôme" sheen Sunday after Sunday, I conducted my own little investigation. After several rigorous tests directly in my washing machine, here is my secret method. It takes a bit of practice, but I promise it's the best possible result!

The Washing Ritual (In the machine, yes indeed!)
Forget the chore of hand washing if you're short on time. Our 130g silk loves the gentleness of modern technology, provided you follow these golden rules:
  • Preparation: Always turn your pajama set inside out.
  • Program: Choose the Wool or Delicate program for a short cycle (maximum 30 minutes).
  • Temperature: Cold, absolutely.
  • Spin Cycle: Crucial point, set it to 600 rpm maximum to avoid damaging the fibers.
  • Magic Potion: Use an ultra-gentle liquid detergent, specially formulated for wool and cashmere (gentler than conventional detergents).
The Secret Drying Tip
This is where all the difference lies in maintaining that unique velvety feel:
  1. Put your set in the dryer for only 10 minutes, on the Delicate / Low Temperature program. This will relax the silk and restore its fluffiness without damaging it.
  2. Take it out while it is still slightly damp and hang it on a hanger to finish air drying.
Ironing: The art of vertical steaming
Forget the traditional ironing board that risks crushing the satin. The best result is obtained vertically: leave your pajamas hanging on their hanger and use steam from your iron or steamer at a reasonable distance. Wrinkles magically disappear, and the silk returns to its natural drape. It's the architecture of rest setting itself back in motion.

The experts' little extra: A trip to the dry cleaner
From time to time (every 4 or 5 washes), treat your set to a little trip to the dry cleaner for a dry clean. This is the absolute secret to deeply dissolving invisible grease residues (like sebum or perspiration) that cold water cannot completely eliminate, without ever altering the vibrancy of your club's signature colors.
Caring for your silk is extending the Sunday ritual. Your pajamas will repay you with softness, night after night. ✨
